Ramayana stories - Everything is fair in war



Vali and sugreeva are two brothers who look alike. They use to rule Kishkindha. One day a demon had threatened their kingdom. So both these brother tried to chase this demon and kill it to save their people in the kingdom. They came to know that the evil demon stays in a cave. Vali accompanied by sugreeva went to kill this demon. Vali said sugreeva to stay outside the cave. 

Vali says, Oh! Brother I will enter the cave and kill the demon and get back till then you stay outside and wait for me. 

So sugreeva looked for her brother a year and thought that her brother might have died in the hands of the demon and closed the mouth of the cave with the stone and came back to kishkindha. He started ruling it. One day vali, his brother returned to the kingdom and was very angry on surgreeva for leaving him along in the cave. For this he captured his entire kingdom and kept the wife of sugreeva with him. He sent all his ministers and court people to dungeon and banishes sugreeva from the kingdom. Sugreeva while roaming in the forest met hanuman. Then hanuman became minister of sugreeva. When Rama and Lakshmana were travelling around kiskinda in search of sita they met sugreeva and hanuman. They introduced themselves with each other. Sugreeva narrated the entire story of him to Rama. Since Rama need a powerful army for searching sita he made a deal with sugreeva. 

The deal was, Rama says to sugreeva, I will kill vali in turn you have to help me in searching sita with your battalion. 

They both agreed for this. Sugreeva declared a war against vali. They both fought each other. As vali have a power of grabbing the opponents power and can use against him which was granted as a boon to him by gods. As a result he is a powerful man. Vali and sugreeva are fighting against each other in battle field. Vali caught sugreeva around his neck with his clutches and he screamed for Rama to help him. Rama shooted an arrow to vali from beside a tree. As a result vali was spot dead. Sugreeva took over the kingdom of kiskinda and started ruling it again. 

From this story we can learn that everything is fare in love and war. See here vali has done a sin by keeping his brother wife as his own. 

Since he is a foolish person in order to kill him Lord Rama opted this way and killed him from behind the tree. Here we can also notice that sugreeva and Rama’s friendship. They both helped each other in troublesome situation and continued their friendship forever

Ramayana stories - Respect for father words

Lord Rama was sent to forest for 14 years as one of the boon granted by dasaratha to kaikeyi as she saved his life in the battlefield. Rama has right to ask for the injustice done to him but he haven’t asked a word to his father. He just did whatever is said by his father. A day before his coronation he was sent to forest. But he hasn’t showed any disappointment on his face in turn accepted both the demands. This shows his love towards his parents and affection for his brother.  Even Dasarath had great love and affection towards Rama as a sign of this he left his last breath when Rama left to the forest. From this lesson we can see how Rama had respected the words of his father. Just he followed his father words without giving any back answer to him. Now-a-days, most of the people are not even giving value to their parent’s words. Even they are sending them to old age home when they become old. From this lesson we can learn how to respect our father and his words.

Once there lived in a farmer along with his wife and five sons in a village named Rampur.   He used to earn his daily lively by working in brick company. He is a hardworking, kind and generous person.Due to his generosity he is respected by every person in that village. But he is always concerned about his sons.
