Ramyana stories - Sita swayamvar
Sita, daughter of janaka raja came to marriage age. His father arranged swayamvar. Most renowned kings from across the country came and participated in the swayamvar. Rama, lakshmana and they guru vishwamitra had attended the swamyawar. When they came to janaka’s palace he came and gave a grand welcome to them. The king took blessings from vishwamitra and showed a seat for them. Then janaka says, any king whoever want to marry my daughter should lift the bow and put an arrow to it successfully. The bow that was placed in the swayamvar was given to Janaka Raj by Parushuram. This was the divine bow that was gifted to Parushuram by Lord Shiva.
