We have grown up listening to stories narrated by our grand parents and elders during bedtime. Stories would take young and old alike to a fantasy world and let them to envision the characters and feel the emotions while getting the moral imprinted on minds. Stories are a kind of legacy passed from one generation to another. This blog would publish short stories,  bedtime stories,  life stories,  fairy tales, fictional stories and rarely scary stories at one place. 

My blog hopefully would help you to catch some interesting stories which you can narrate to your grand children or kids alone can read and understand.

Lord Rama was sent to forest for 14 years as one of the boon granted by dasaratha to kaikeyi as she saved his life in the battlefield. Rama has right to ask for the injustice done to him but he haven’t asked a word to his father. He just did whatever is said by his father. A day before his coronation he was sent to forest. But he hasn’t showed any disappointment on his face in turn accepted both the demands. This shows his love towards his parents and affection for his brother.  Even Dasarath had great love and affection towards Rama as a sign of this he left his last breath when Rama left to the forest. From this lesson we can see how Rama had respected the words of his father. Just he followed his father words without giving any back answer to him. Now-a-days, most of the people are not even giving value to their parent’s words. Even they are sending them to old age home when they become old. Ramayana stories - Show mercy on the enemy & stand by what is Right

When war was decleared between Rama and Ravana , Vibhishana the younger brother of Ravana and also the vice council of Lanka island had suggested Ravana to leave Rama’s wife sita.  He says, if we lost the war it would be end of the demon race. He was bold enough and says ravana of whatever he is doing is not correct. He was an intelligent and extremely good person who always votes for righteous situation. He also said, it is not correct to kidnap the wife of Rama to satisfy his ego. Ravana gets hurt by listening to the words of vibishana and accused him for being disloyal to him. Vibishana also says, this time hanuman will set fire to the entire palace before which it is better to leave sita Ravana says, if someone would have said these words I would have killed him on the spot. Ramayana stories - kakeyi requests her two boons from Dasaratha

Ayodhya, a great kingdom ruled by the wonderful king Dasaratha. He had three princesses named kausalya, kaikeyi & sumitra. All the people in his kingdom lived happily under his rule. But the king Dasaratha was unhappy for not having children. One day a sage visited his kingdom and suggested him to undertake “putrakameshti yagna”.  While carrying out the Yagna a magical form emerged from the holy fire and gave a sweetened keer to Dasaratha and said to offer it to his beloved wife’s. After drinking the keer the three princesses gave birth to beautiful children’s. Kausalya gave birth to Lord Rama, kaikeyi to Bharatha and sumitra to twins Lakshmana and Shatrughna. They grew up and became proficient in reading holybooks, hunting and archery. The four brothers had great respect for elders and Guru’s and showed love and affection towards young ones.
