We have grown up listening to stories narrated by our grand parents and elders during bedtime. Stories would take young and old alike to a fantasy world and let them to envision the characters and feel the emotions while getting the moral imprinted on minds. Stories are a kind of legacy passed from one generation to another. This blog would publish short stories,  bedtime stories,  life stories,  fairy tales, fictional stories and rarely scary stories at one place. 

My blog hopefully would help you to catch some interesting stories which you can narrate to your grand children or kids alone can read and understand.

Ramayana stories - Respect for father words

Lord Rama was sent to forest for 14 years as one of the boon granted by dasaratha to kaikeyi as she saved his life in the battlefield. Rama has right to ask for the injustice done to him but he haven’t asked a word to his father. He just did whatever is said by his father. A day before his coronation he was sent to forest. But he hasn’t showed any disappointment on his face in turn accepted both the demands. This shows his love towards his parents and affection for his brother.  Even Dasarath had great love and affection towards Rama as a sign of this he left his last breath when Rama left to the forest. From this lesson we can see how Rama had respected the words of his father. Just he followed his father words without giving any back answer to him. Now-a-days, most of the people are not even giving value to their parent’s words. Even they are sending them to old age home when they become old. From this lesson we can learn how to respect our father and his words.

An old man and his five sons

Once there lived in a farmer along with his wife and five sons in a village named Rampur.   He used to earn his daily lively by working in brick company. He is a hardworking, kind and generous person.Due to his generosity he is respected by every person in that village. But he is always concerned about his sons. Since, they always quarrel with each other for no reason.   Sometimes, they even fight badly. The farmer tries hard to stop and unite them.   But many times he tried to convince them but that did not worked out for him. The farmer always thought of different ideas to keep his sons united. He uses to implement many but they did not show any effect on them. Once he bought a bundle of sticks and asked each of his sons to break that bundle of sticks.
