Think and act

Once there lived a farmer named Ram with his wife Rama in a lakshmapur, which is a small village surrounded by lush green fillers.  The young couple was blessed with a baby boy.  They named the boy as Rahul. With the addition of a boy, their family has become complete All three together started living happily.   Everyday Ram used to go to fields  every morning and carry out his work till fall of day and comeback home to play with his son.

One day his wife thought of having a pet to look after him and also play with him. Ram accepted his  Wife's wish of having a pet. On his way to fields, he found a mongoose lying under the tree. He got an idea and said “why don’t I take this to my home”? This will be a good companion for my child. Both the couple welcomed the pet any gave lots of love for it. In no time,the child and mongoose became good playmates.

Days are passing happily and one day the couple decided to go to the nearby village for shopping household items leaving their child under the supervision of the mongoose. They believed that mongoose will take care of their child in their absence and went out happily and with confidence.

The boy and mongoose started played with each other and after sometime the boy went into deep sleep in his cradle and the mongoose lied down near the cradle as security for the boy.

A big cobra somehow entered into the farmer’s house and crawled to the place where the boy was sleeping. Seeing the snake the mongoose jumped on it, both fought with each other. The cobra began to attack and they was serious fight took place between the two animals and at last, the mongoose has killed the cobra and rescued the boy from it.

Though, the couple went to other village they are very much concerned about their child and the wife said to her husband, dear you buy all the required items I will go back and take care of our child, after hearing her words the husband thought and said her to leave. Soon, the wife reached her home, seeing her boss the mongoose came happily in front of her to greet her.  She was shocked to see the blood stains around the mouth and paws of mongoose. Seeing the mongoose, the wife thought that it might have killed her child and in that anger it took a long stick and gave a hard blow on the mongoose. The mongoose was injured badly.

She them immediately rushed to see the condition of her child. She saw her child was playing in the cradle happily and fond the dead snake on the floor near his son’s cradle. Seeing all the scenario the wife realized that the mongoose has saved her child’s life from the snake attack. Then she realized her mistake and rushed near the mongoose, she found the dead mongoose on the floor. The wife broken out into tears for doing the mistake of killing the pet who has saved her child’s life

Do not take decision in anger and also think twice before you act.
