Once there lived a girl named charitha who has grown up in a family with financial adversities. She is survived by her parents and 6 sisters who are younger to her. Being elder, she is responsible and takes good care of her sisters. Though, she is not so happy the way her life is, but is not envious of others. For her, happiness is all about people around her being happy. There were times when the girl used to starve. Her father who was an alcoholic spends most of his income for his pleasures. With the meager amount of money, her mother, Kavitha runs the family.
In between the woes of life she turned 18. With a lot of efforts and struggles, she gets enrolled in a government college to pursue her higher studies and bring the family's financial position stable. With her father's bad habits, she loses the hope of her father changing their fates. She used to burn midnight oil to gain flying score. As a reciprocation to her hard work, she tops the university. She joyfully leaves home to share her academic accomplishment with her parents. Seeing her father who is heavily drunk gets disheartened. When she shares the news of topping the university, her mother feels proud of her daughter's achievement. The spark in her mother's eyes and grin on her face makes Charitha feel delighted. Parents of her friends gifted their children with expensive gifts for passing in the exam. Charitha gets the most expensive and priceless gift from the mother, her blessing.
Charitha stepped into the 2nd year of her graduation. In this year, the college decides to celebrate Annual day after a long hiatus In a granduer manner. Students hearing this jumped with joy and great excitement. Everyone including charitha were equally excited. With annual day round the corner, students from every class planned and came up with skits, dances, and few other students went a step ahead to showcase their singing talent to the crowd. The students found this as the right platform to showcase their talent. Between these, the annual day has arrived. Charitha and her friends have dressed up well and have decided to have fun to the core. When charitha was passing through the stairs, her eyes caught the attention of notice board. When she went closer to the board, she saw her name in the list of toppers who would receive momentos from the college principal for getting brilliant score in 1st year. She was unknown to the college till yesterday, but when she received the momento in front of thousands of students, every student in the college started identifying her. She earned reputation in no time. Her heart filled with joy. She started enjoying all the programs without knowing the time. By the time she realized that it was 11.30 night, she thought of informing her parents about getting late. However, the mobile technology was not evolved by then. She got intimidating as the time is ticking. The girl is waiting for her friends to come out of the fun and head to home. Every friend was so immersed in the enjoyment that they forgot about the time to be 1 midnight. Soon charitha along with friends hopped into the private bus and by the time charity's reached her stop it was wee hours of the day. When she saw around, she could not see a single vehicle and the roads were completely deserted. Charitha had no option, but to move ahead to reach her home which is 400 feet away from the bus stop. In fear, she had a notion of someone stalking her. She starting taking strides. Her heart started beating at a normal pace when she saw her father waiting for her in the stop. She felt very happy seeing her father. She got on the bike and reached home with immense happiness.
